Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.

Hi Rose Buddy!
I know I haven’t been writing as much as I’d like but there has been so much happening. One thing about it, God never changes even in the most confusing and saddest of times. Jesus remains the same yesterday, today, and forevermore! Most of the reason I’ve been away is due to grieving. Honestly, since I moved to New York, I have grieved. This year marks six years and I’ve grieved six people and guess what? There are loved ones still sick.
Now, I don’t write this for a pity party, but more so as a testament of my faith. God never changes; not even in death. He even taught me how to properly mourn a saint transitioning to Heaven. That I don’t have to appear like I have it all together, but lean on The One Who created me. Trust that The God Who created me to feel these emotions can direct me on how to properly manage them. See death is indeed inevitable. We all have to leave here. This is why it is vastly important to have a relationship with Jesus!
As many funerals that I’ve attended, one thing is common and that is the preacher can’t preach to the dead. His responsibility is to preach to those who are still living. He is charged to preach that Hope did not die with our loved ones. The Gospel has to be preached that Jesus came so that we may not only have life beyond the grave but even a more abundant life on earth. No. This life is not all about how many designer labels we can purchase or who has the biggest house on the block. The abundance is living a life no longer controlled by sin! Yes! This is true living when we choose to live for Jesus.
This kind of living enables us to not only persevere during times of mourning, but proclaim that Jesus lives! How do I know? Because I’m still here. I’m still here burial after burial because I know that although the bones may be buried the spirit is not. Jesus lives because He strengthens me every time I am weak. My Savior lives because when I’m being mentally attacked, His Peace comes in to interrupt the party. He doesn’t just make my enemies behave but they flee at His Name and command.
This same power can rest on the inside of you if you just believe that Jesus is Lord and came and died and was resurrected to save you from your sins and give you a new life in Him and is coming back for you, us, those that are His! Know that anyone that calls on the name of Jesus shall be saved(Romans 10:13)! This isn’t just any ordinary call. This call is led with our hearts yielded to the Only Wise and Matchless God. It is a call of surrender and reverence.
With everything happening in this world, there is much to mourn. However, as Christians, we don’t have to live a life of mourning. What we can do is give room for it when the time comes and whatever may be too heavy for us, just give it to the Lord. He already promised we don’t have to carry the burdens life may bring on our own. Let Jesus be your Rock. We were not created to be our own hero or to save ourselves. Mourning is the opportune time to not only trust God all the more, but simply let Him be what we need during such a devastating time. Also, remember it is just for a time. Continue to lean on The One Who is not controlled or racing against time. He’s God! He’s Great! He’s ready and able to meet you right where you are in whatever state you may be facing right now. Call on Him. His Name is Jesus! ✞
Okay guys, what a post for the new year, right? I know it was a bit deep, but it was necessary. I pray hearts are open and able to receive just what The Lord is saying within each sentence and paragraph. Let not your heart be troubled because He is the God that sits high and doesn’t miss a thing. He knows exactly what you’re going through and how to get you through it. Okay until next time, Peace & go with The Lord!
