Run.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Greetings Rose Buddy,

In light of all that is happening, I want to encourage you to not give up. This life comes with many troubles, unfortunate circumstances, and flat out disappointments. Knowing all of this, it is imperative that we have something that is sure, solid, and will outlast the hurt we will experience. If you haven’t guessed what that would be, then I’ll tell you. Yes, Jesus is the only permanency we have to sustain and keep us sane. The Bible talks about The Word never tarnishing in Isaiah 40:8 . Since this is true, we have the gift of God’s Word to stabilize and mobilize us in times that try to make us frail and handicapped.

I used to run track and one race I wasn’t too fond of were the hurdles. I tried it out during practice and quickly came to the conclusion that it wasn’t for me. However, in life we don’t have that option to alleviate the hurdles. In any aspect, hurdles are meant to be leaped over. When we try to walk over them or skip them we run the risk of injuring ourselves. Trust me, I know. I’ve tried figuratively and literally to skip hurdles and it didn’t pan out too well for me. It is when we have the courage to leap that we are able to overcome what was meant to harm or detour us. Our ability to leap is solely based on our trust and faith in God through Christ. We have to believe that He is in order to be who He has enabled us to be through His Son, Jesus. Yes, belief in Christ, life changing belief, eternal living belief enables us to conquer what has been crippling us. As believers, we remain encouraged that no matter what, we have help in this race of life. Help that causes us to leap or as the Bible states mount up with wings as eagles in Isaiah 40:31. We will run and not get weary. This is a promise, a gift, a treasure from God.

Our run looks different because when hurdles present themselves we remember these words. We remember that our Father loves us too much to leave us at our hurdles weak, cripple, and afraid. So, I encourage you on today to keep running. Don’t give up because life is hard. This life was and will continue to be that. This is why it is important to have a relationship with Jesus. We were not created to do like alone. Alone in the sense of without our Creator, Heavenly Father, the only True and Living God. Keep running.

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us unnatural strength to keep running. When times are hard You breathe Hope into our lungs. When doubt arises, Your Word reminds us that You are in control no matter what. So, we pray to remain humbly submitted and committed to You because You will outlast every hurtful experience we will go through. We choose today to hold on to You because You are the Only One Who is all truth and forever. We love You, Lord and forgive us for wanting to give up. We choose to run in a different direction when problems occur. We choose to remain in You in Jesus Name, amen.
