Greetings Rose Buddy!
This poem is actaully quite different. I have been back and forth with introducing my poetry to my blog posts and I am no longer delaying it. If you’ve ever been in a mental space finding yourself questioning God, then this is for you. Remember in all of your questioning, He still remains to be our Truest and Purest Answer. His Name is Jesus. His Placement is King. His Dominion is Fuh-evaaaa or whatever Cardi B said 🙂

Psalm 8:4𝓪 What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
Ever felt like God wasn't on your side or anyone for that matter?
You engraft yourself into this dark asylum found in your mind.
It's cold, lonely, and dejected.
It's compounded of everything and nothing at the same time.
Everything full of negativity and lies.
You feel as though nobody can understand your plight.
But God does.
Weird.
Strange.
How can The One I'm angry at understand me?
Understand what is happening in my mind?
But God does.
He understands every quirk.
Weird.
Strange.
The God of the entire galaxy, universe, everything, understands me?
But He does.
Sir David said He is mindful of me.
Weird.
Strange.
If He is so mindful then why did He allow me to feel pain?
He is so mindful that He did not allow the pain to overtake me.
He did not stop it from happening.
but
He stopped it from destroying.
It could've taken me out of here (several times)
I'm still here.
I was at odds with myself and my anger was misplaced.
I'm sorry, Dad.
Thank You for stopping the pain from ending me altogether.
We're in this together.
No longer running...
Heavenly Father, I pray we run. I pray we run to You remembering we don’t have to run very far because You are near. You see all and know all. I pray we feel Your Love differently. So differently that it makes us uncomfortable. It makes those dark thoughts unwelcoming. May Your Love arrest every lie that tries to set up camp in our thoughts. Let Your Light Shine even in our minds, in Jesus Name. Thank You and amen.
Be sure to check out my YouTube video as well that correlates with this blog post! Until next time, Peace!
