Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
Greetings Rose Buddy!
I am still on the topic – Ornaments. If you missed last week’s post, ornaments are the things we use to decorate, dress up, and outwardly portray an aspect of ourselves while hiding the essence. The subtopic is for this post is are we trying to appear tough or relying on the Strength of God. Now, I know these two words may seem like they are completely the same, but in this context they aren’t. As a believer, we have the grand privilege of depending on God. Sometimes, we don’t always utilize this newfound birthright because we’ve become accustomed to doing things in our own strength. Even when it has been proven that our strength is not reliable. It is just commonplace. Depending on ourselves can seemingly be conventional. Especially, when we’ve been doing it our entire lives.
I love this prayer from David because he is acknowledging how much He needs God. He needs Him to speak righteously. He needs Him to purify His Heart. He needs Him to Redeem him. Lastly, He needs Him for much Strength. This is the space we need to revisit daily. Lord, before I start my day I pray my words please You. Purify my heart God! Be my Strength as I go through my day. I am unable to do this without You! We have to continually have the mindset that God is our Heavenly Father. Leaning on His Strength does not make us useless. In fact, it empowers us! Tapping into The Strength of God is a huge flex!
Being self-reliant is no match to The One Who can move mountains.
Being in this pandemic, it is crucial to not try to merely survive through this year. There is a different beat that the believer dances to and it proceeds worship! We are unable to truly worship God while still holding on to our own methods, strategies, and plans. Surrendering to God looks like leaning not to our own understanding, but acknowledging Him in ALL that we do. Did you get that? Worship, surrendering, and leaning on The Strength of God all work together. Issa partnership people and what a dynamic partnership it is! No longer do we have to exhaust ourselves with being our own hero or “SHEro.” There is Grace and Freedom to give it over to God. While we give it over, we inadvertently showcase to the world the marvelous Work God’s Spirit is performing in our lives. Which is not a new car or a new house, but forming us more and more into the Glorious Image of His Son, JESUS! This is the result we desire and chase after – more of Jesus!
Heavenly Father, thank You for being reliable, dependable, faithful, and loving enough for us to lean on in times of uncertainty. We relinquish our will to want to be self-reliant and we rebuke all thoughts of darkness that will try to intrude our minds into thinking we are our own keeper. Lord, let Your Strength continue to work perfectly in our weakness and continue to show Yourself as Greater in our hearts! It is in Jesus Name we are believing this to be done. Amen!
Okay! You know what to do. Scurry on over to my YouTube channel to watch the correlating video to this post. Until next time, PEACE ✞シ
