Restore.

Hosea 6:1 COME, let us return to The Lord. He has torn us to pieces, but He will heal us; He has injured us, but He will bind up our wounds.

Hi Rose buddy gang! This will be a bit of a shorter post, but only because I wanted to highlight this poem released in me. Last weekend was Mother’s Day and I needed a bit of restoration from God. Who am I kidding? Alotta bit! Haha! I hope you can find amusement in my comical grammatical errors πŸ™‚ At any rate, I needed restoration last weekend and God did just that! What I will say is a HUGE part of me being restored was owning up that I can no longer be my own restorer. My efforts, though seemingly good, were no real help and I am thankful that God orchestrated it to be that way. Not only has He given me the best Comforter of them ALL, Heeey Holy Ghost! He has given me a Christian community both near and far to pull on, lean on, cry with, and rejoice with sometimes all in the same day. The beauty of God’s Restoration is realizing I have Someone I can infinitely trust with me. All of me. The cute, warm, and fuzzy parts as well as the ugly, dirty, and down right filthy parts. Oh yeah, it goes that deep. I know we have this saying, “God likes to play in dirt.” What if it was more along the lines of God loves what He created? He created dirt, yes. He pulled man from dirt but He pulled with Love. God loves to create and from that creation He formed man, whom He loved. Yeah, I like that better πŸ™‚ He loves us y’all!! With all of that being said, I hope this poem hones in on what that Love truly looks like. Enjoy!

How do you keep?

How do you keep hope “alive” when it’s not dead?

Or should I saying dying?

What happens when your faith is low and tears are shed?

When your tear dots are all dried up from crying?

Bible verses are replaying, yet there is nothing said

That can keep you believing in what you read.

Is it just all in my head?

Until I see Red.

Until I see You!

Hanging on The Cross, my doubts pierced You

My unbelief is why you were even bruised.

You gave Your Life so that I could too?

So I could lose?

Lose my life and gain eternity (with You)

Crucify my flesh on this daily journey (with You)

So I look to the hills, because that’s where You were

Bleeding for me

For me to be free

No longer being bound to anxiety

From society

Checkin’ my phone constantly

Just to see who replied to me

I want to reply to You

You’re all I want to see

So I lift You up (daily)

Jesus, Jesus

No other Name can fill my cup (amazing)

Gladden my heart

Thank You for Hope that was never dead

Because It’s built on The Cross!

A hope that stood Tall

Yeah where YOU PAID IT ALL!

So Your Word is a heavy Rotation

Thank You, for yet another Restoration, Dad πŸ™‚

Heavenly Father, thank You for being Trustworthy. It is in this new Trust I am learning what real Loves actually looks like. I pray for those who have not yet learned to trust You. Whether that may be as Lord and Savior or as Father please pierce their hearts as You did mine. I pray they can see that the water may look frightful but it’s okay to walk because You are there to meet them as they are and wherever they are just as you did with me. The best Restoration is being restored back to You and I would hate for anyone to miss out on that. I come against fear and unbelief that will try to convince these readers otherwise in the Name of Jesus. Lord, You are trustworthy. You are God and You desire to restore us. So do it again for others, Father, because I know what You have done for me. In all this, I pray in Jesus Name, Amen. Thanks Dad!!
