Job 1:8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”

Happy New Year Rose Buddies! It’s year 2020 and so many have declared this year a year of clarity and insight. I would like to propose an even deeper route and say this is a refocusing year. Looking back over 2019, I almost counted the year a waste. There were so many abrupt challenges that I thought were attacks from the enemy. Only to realize God had a conversation about me. Towards the tail end of last year, I was led to read and study Job. Carving out time to get true revelation, I remained stuck on the first chapter. Here it is, Job is described as a honorable man, blessed with ten children, a superb household, and thousands of flock. In today’s terms, he was “lit.” He had it all! Even taking time to intercede over his children was admirable not knowing their soon demise later. That’s a whole other post. So, I will just stick to the topic.
In the reference verse, God is having a conversation with satan about trying His servant. Upon reading this, it hit me that the things I thought were solely evil happenings in my life could have very well been predestined. Perhaps, God wanted to try me as a faithful servant to prove my walk is not just for show. Maybe I had to lose my job to show God really is my Provider. So what I had to lose some things in the process. The things I lost can be gained back, but the lesson was more valuable. Sure I had to find a place to stay because my previous building was closing down. It further proved that God is a keeper and will not allow me to be without shelter. Panicking about where I will stay and didn’t have to pay my first month’s rent for my new place. God took care of it. Worrying about finding a job because my last job gave us two week’s notice due to them also closing. The final week I get a call back for a job offer. Yes, money was tight and I still have to rebuild my savings. The point of it all is my NEEDS were met. Food was still being ate. Bills were still being paid. Shelter was still provided all because of the faithfulness of God. Even in the attack there is still protection because the enemy can only do what God allows. This means if it is being allowed then it is designed to work in your favor.
So, I am claiming impractical favor over this year. This is not to say everything will workout peachy king or to my expectations, but realizing the favor is still in the hardships, obstacles, and troubles of life. Favor does not stop the sea from roaring. It enables you to triumph despite it. It was favor that allowed Noah to outlast the flood. We can easily read that story and think wow that is terrible to be on a ship for over a month with animals and family. You’re in a tight space and it probably stinks. Looking at the same ppl, dirty animals, and cloudy view for so long could make someone lose their mind, but God kept them all! God’s favor was spread throughout that entire boat. They weren’t devoured by the flood, they succeeded it. This is what God desires for us. Don’t let the floods of life devour you. The enemy will come in like a flood, but we thank God that He has already established a standard(Isa. 59:19)! Don’t just take this year as “the best year” meaning everything will be perfect. Refocus, realign, and reposition yourself to see clearer in the spiritual because what God is going to do is not going to be orthodox. Your joy will not be packaged in your expectations. Let’s choose His Will over our expectations this year.
Alright guys! I hope you gained some insight and are able to apply to your every day life. Don’t be afraid to like, share, and subscribe. Until next time, PEACE! #Purposed #ImpracticalFavor #2020 #Reposition #Clarity
