Proverbs 14:23 All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.
Hi guys! The goal was to write every day but I was not feeling my best the latter end of the week leading up to the weekend. So now I am finally regaining physical strength. #WontHeDoIt
Immensely glad to be back and hope to catch up at some point this week! I want to keep my word and also give what God wanted me to give which was at least 31 powerful posts this month. Okay, so let’s get into it!
I thought it would be clever to play on the phrase, “A penny for your thoughts” by combining penny and plentiful. If you don’t get it, totally fine. My brain works slightly different from most and I am learning to be okay with that 🙂 This is why I write so it can at some point make sense. Now the topic is laziness and how our “million dollar” dreams can turn into penny holder thoughts in a short whisper of what we call a lifespan or lifetime.
Many of us have dreams. Some have great inventions we conjure up in our minds or business ideas. Others prefer to climb the corporate ladder or just have a seat at the table. No matter where you fall, we all have some sort of goal in mind for our lives, right? We know the rehearsed scripture of a man doesn’t work then he will also lack to eat. However, we seem to be relaxed when it comes to specific jobs or work God has given us to do. A 9-5 can seemingly be a great avenue of income to the world, but what if God wanted you to step out and be the business owner? Not for bragging rights, but He saw you opening businesses for His Glory and a purpose that surpassed your understanding. See, some may have thought just giving your regular pay was good enough which I’m not coming against at all. I would like to propose a question is all. What if God purposed you to EMPLOY the homeless and not just give your money earned from somewhere else? What if God wanted to use you to hire the ex convicts, veterans, disabled, and minority’s that are out of work? Get my drift now?
It’s hitting me more and more each day how God HAS made me a lender and not a borrower. Even when I’ve had next to nothing was still helping, giving, and lending! He was preparing me and still proving the Truth of His Word. Plenty of people go to the grave with million dollar ideas that are now penny, perished thoughts. We all have thoughts and that’s why, in my opinion, they’re worth a penny. Million dollar dreams manifest only when we WORK. Again, it’s not to work in a narcissistic, prideful, and self-centered way but to work in the strength and mind of Christ(pursuing His Will). Realizing the money isn’t for safe keeping or to rot with us in the grave but to be shared, distributed, and used for the building of God’s kingdom. I earnestly believe that if anyone should be owners, possessors, and rulers it should be the people of God. Why?
Well, God didn’t create us to live a lazy, half hazard life. He gave us all work to do and sadly it’s on us what we do with what we are given. Sadly is used because we often take advantage of this free will we have not realizing how short and meaningful our lives are and every day is literally NOT to be wasted. So, let’s get to work! I believe poverty is not only for this life but even spiritually what we don’t work, we lack. Not to get too deep, but there are things in Heaven that we can’t claim if we wasted our lives halfway working opposed to the people who worked harder that we stunningly admire. God has given more than enough to accomplish the work however that may look for you. We all have the work of The Gospel to share but how That is shared looks different. It’s imperative that we don’t allow laziness to be our master nor our friend because it’s the blood cousin to disobedience. Ouch! Disobedience is the nephew to Auntie distraction and distraction is the daughter to double mindedness. Yeah, I went there, but for good reason. I need this kick in the tail too.
Let’s get to work because there is too much at stake! Even with me posting this I had obstacles because my computer stopped working(which never happens) and my phone deletes paragraphs I thought were auto saving. It just goes to show how much this reminder is needed! So don’t let it fall on blind eyes. Make your commitment in the comments and let’s get to work!
Until next time, PEACE!
