God is Not a Hero

There are so many different forms of entertainment reflecting the depiction of good and evil. Writers have gathered that if they are going to create a good film or television show that this narrative has to be eloquently woven into script. Why? Well, most if not all of us are aware and keenly understand that this idea is more than a “good story plot” but it’s our present reality. We don’t have to look too far to see the product of both good and evil in our neighborhoods, churches, and families. So, who is the villain and who is our hero?

Well, I’d say we have a present enemy lurking and seeking who he can devour as 1 Peter 5:8 teaches us. So, where does that lead us? That shows us that we are indeed in need of rescuing from being eternally ate up. However, that does not mean we have a hero in God. I know some people may want to debate me on that, but we must understand that God is not to be compared to our fave action hero; He is so much more!

Yes, we have a present enemy that we desperately need help fighting but also we need saving from our lustful and sinful selves! Jesus is our Savior to deliver us from this body of corruption and the hand of the evil one. Our valiant God has many names and hero just doesn’t do our Heavenly Father justice! Consider the list shared with you below.

There’s nobody like Jehovah – more than a hero!

When searching a good resource to add to this post, I found that website and it’s a great tool coupled with God’s Word to help us better understand the weight of God’s Name(s) and why He is more than a hero to us and for us. God’s superiority differentiates Him from any other mythical or fictional being that is created to captivate us behind some glass and plastic. We acknowledge Jesus as our soon coming and victorious King Who defeated hell and the grave, forever! Hallelujah and Praise our mighty God!
