Good cause
It was a good cause
Or was it because
Of His nature
God is too good to be described with mere labels
Or adjectives
He was more than an advocate
He didn’t fight for justice
He is Justice
Jesus is the gauge between righteousness and corruption
He makes something out of the nothing we call our lives
He reaches for us even when we try to hide
But not for a good cause
Not for the applause…of men
It was because of our sin
Sin that rewards us with death in the end
Unless we believe and repent
Or repent and believe
No longer bound to being deceived
Forever rejoicing that Hell no longer has a grip over me
Finally declaring, I’m free!
Thank You God, I’m free!
I hope you enjoyed this short poem and was encouraged to know that you aren’t a charity case. That God’s Love for you isn’t dictated on Him just doing good things for you but it’s the very essence of Who He is. He is simply the epitome of Good and for this we are graciously able to be reconciled back to our Father through faith in Jesus if we choose to repent and believe. Feel free to share this blog post as encouragement that you can use for yourself or others.
